In / onGeorgian grammar · A1
word + -ში "in" / -ზე "on"
How it works
Georgian has no prepositions like "in" or "on" before a word. Instead, a postposition is attached to the end of the word. The final -ი of the word usually drops off first.
The two most common ones
- -ში — "in": სახლი (house) → სახლში (in the house)
- -ზე — "on": მაგიდა (table) → მაგიდაზე (on the table)
