Georgian letter კk'ani · /kʼ/
How it sounds
English has no such sound. It's an ejective k: close your throat as if holding your breath, say k, and let the air pop out with no puff after it. It sounds sharp and clicky — not the k in "kite," which has a puff of air.

- გ — the same sound, but voiced, like g
- ქ — the English k, with a puff of air instead of the sharp closure
- ყ — also sharp, but made further back, deep in the throat
