Privacy PolicyTsota

Effective · support@noxt.me

Tsota is an app for learning Georgian, made by Dmitry Ivanenko, an independent developer ("I", "me"). This policy explains what happens to your data when you use Tsota and its widgets. The short version: your learning data stays on your device. The app sends anonymous usage statistics and crash reports, which you can turn off, and purchases go through Apple and RevenueCat. I only receive personal details that you choose to send me when you contact support.

Data that stays on your device

Your lessons, cards, review history, settings, widget choices and learner profile (the name, gender, age, country and city you may enter for practice dialogues) are stored only on your device. Tsota has no account and no sign-in, and it does not sync this data anywhere. Like any other app data, it is included in your device backups (iCloud or computer) if you have them turned on; those backups are handled by Apple under your backup settings.

Deleting Tsota deletes this data from your device.

Usage statistics and crash reports

To find bugs and to understand which apps, ads and pages bring new learners, Tsota uses two Google services, part of Firebase:

  • Google Analytics for Firebase records how the app is used: when it is first opened and sessions; which onboarding steps you see and whether you skip them, take the level test or add the widget; when the Tsota Unlimited screen is opened and closed and where from, and purchase attempts, cancellations and restores (the product, price and currency, never payment details); how many cards you rated in a review session and how many answers were right in a practice round; which lessons, grammar topics, conversations or the alphabet you open. It also notes the interface language, whether you have Tsota Unlimited and whether a Tsota widget is on your Home Screen or Lock Screen. Each record comes with technical details: app version, device model, operating system version, language, an approximate country or region, and a random identifier for this installation of the app.
  • Firebase Crashlytics sends a report when the app crashes: what the app was doing, the device model, the operating system version, free memory and disk space, and a random identifier for this installation.

These reports do not include the words you study, your answers, your learner profile or the text of your messages to me. Tsota does not use the advertising identifier (IDFA), never asks to track you across apps and websites, and does not let Google use this data to show you personalized ads.

Ads measurement. When I advertise Tsota with Google Ads, Google uses the usage statistics above, together with its on-device conversion measurement, to tell me whether an ad led to an install. I see only aggregated, anonymous counts, and the data is not used to show you personalized ads.

Turning it off. In Tsota, open Settings and switch off "Usage stats and crash reports". From then on nothing is sent. Reinstalling the app creates a new random identifier, so earlier reports can no longer be connected to it.

Usage statistics are kept for up to 14 months and crash reports for up to 90 days, after which Google deletes them. Google processes this data on my behalf under the Google Analytics terms and the Firebase data processing terms; see also how Google uses information from apps that use its services.

Purchases

Tsota Unlimited is sold through the App Store. Apple handles payment, and I never see your name, payment details or Apple ID. To check whether you have Tsota Unlimited, the app uses RevenueCat, a subscription service. RevenueCat receives the purchase receipt from Apple, a random identifier created by the app, and technical details such as app version, device model, operating system version and country. It keeps this purchase history so that access works on all your devices and survives reinstalls. See the RevenueCat privacy policy.

What Tsota does not do

  • No tracking across apps and websites, and no advertising identifier.
  • No ads inside the app.
  • No selling of your data, and no sharing of it except with the service providers named in this policy, who process it for me.

Reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device; no push server is involved. When Tsota asks you to rate it, it uses Apple's standard rating prompt.

When you contact support

Contacting me is always your choice. You can reach me:

  • By email to support@noxt.me. When Tsota opens a draft email for you, it adds the app version, iOS version and device model to the message; you can see and remove them before sending.
  • Through the feedback form in the app. It sends your message, the email address you enter (optional), and the app version, iOS version, device model and language/region setting.
  • Through the form on the support page. It sends your message, the name and email address you enter (both optional), and a topic if you choose one.

Android notification

The Tsota page has an "Android" button with a form where you can leave your email address to hear when an Android version is available. It sends only that address. I use it for one email when the Android version is released, and for nothing else. It reaches me the same way as support messages (below), and you can ask me to delete it at any time by writing to support@noxt.me.

How messages reach me

I receive this information as a message in my own Telegram chat, delivered through this website's server (hosted on Vercel). Your IP address is used for a short time to limit spam and is not stored or forwarded. Email is received in my mailbox at iCloud Mail.

I use what you send only to reply to you and to find and fix problems in Tsota. I don't add it to any mailing list and don't share it with anyone. You can ask me to delete your messages at any time by writing to support@noxt.me.

Data from Apple

If you agreed to share diagnostics and usage data with app developers in your device settings, Apple may give me aggregated crash reports and usage statistics through App Store Connect. They don't identify you, and Apple's privacy policy applies to them.

Legal basis and your rights

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or another place with similar laws: usage statistics and crash reports are processed on the basis of my legitimate interest in keeping Tsota working and learning how people find it, and you can object at any time with the switch in Settings. Purchase data is processed to provide what you bought. Support messages are processed to answer you.

You have the right to ask what data about you I hold, to have it corrected or deleted, and to object to or restrict its processing. Write to support@noxt.me; I reply within 30 days. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.

Google, RevenueCat and Vercel may process data in the United States and other countries. They protect it with the safeguards required by law, such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

Children

Tsota is not directed at children under 13, and I don't knowingly collect personal data from them. The usage statistics and crash reports described above don't identify anyone. If a child sends a support message, I will delete it on request.

Changes to this policy

If Tsota starts handling data differently, I will update this policy before that version of the app is released and change the effective date above. The address of this page stays the same.
